My husband usually works 3rd shift so nights can get hectic around here once in a while but overall, they aren't too bad. My kids do their homework when they get home from school - once less thing to worry about at night. We usually eat dinner by 6:00 pm. We try not to plan anything for the evenings after dinner unless one of the kids have sports practice or if we need to run to the store for something that can't wait until the next day. That way we have the evening together. We usually end up watch "Millionaire" with the kids or we play golf on the Xbox together as a family - doesn't happen all of the time but that's family time. Sometimes we read or play on the computer...etc. Once the kids are in bed, my dh leaves for work at 10:15...and then I enjoy and hour or so to myself. I catch up on recorded TV shows and some computer time.

When I was young we used to go "skinny dipping"; now we just "chunky dunk"

“The value of doing something does not lie in the ease or difficulty, the probability or improbability of its achievement, but in the vision, the plan, the determination and the perseverance, the effort and the struggle which go into the project. Life is enriched by aspiration and effort, rather than by acquisition and accumulation.”
