One of our sweet Ss which we all love and admire her strength to go thru what she has over the many months this year with her son's health. She has posted alot about him on the friendship thread. He struggle hard to fight the good fight with Cancer, but today Cancer won the battle.
I know that many has posted thier support on the FC front porch that are on FB, but feel free to do it again here. There may be many that are not on FB that would like to give Sharon thier support so feel free to do so here.. I'm posting it here since Sharon has been a Secret sister from the start I believe, or soon after she arrived on the scene.
Sharon, I'm leaving you with this poem that I hope will comfort you as you travel this grief hiway others has traveled.. take all the time you need to travel it. Losing a child before you do is very unbearable, but so thankful you were able to see him before his death. Also I find this poem to be fitting as the post I've read I believe your son would want you to remember the pleasant things and not his last few wks... He was a brave young man even thou he was in his 40's.. You are a brave and strong woman to have this to be your second child to go before you..
Hugs and friendship and know you are in our prayers.
Remember Me
You can shed tears that he is gone
Or you can smile because he has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
