Basic Cake Mix help

I found a Basic Cake Mix I would love to make, but I don't know how to mix up for 1 cake. You know, like how many cups and you add blah,blah,blah, and bake at....

I hope someone can help!!

This was found on many different sites, however, I found it on ichef.

Basic Cake Mix

8 c Cake Flour
1/4 c Baking Powder
2 1/2 c Vegetable Shortening
6 c Sugar
1 1/2 ts Salt

In a large bowl, sift together cake flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Mix well With a pastry blender, cut in shortening until the mixture is as fine as cornmeal. Put in a large airtight container. Label as Basic Cake Mix and store in a cool dry place. Use with 10 to 12 weeks. About 16 cups of mix.

That's the recipe I have. What I don't have is the recipe to make a single cake. Did that make sense? Maybe I'm not asking it right.

Do you have the recipe to make a single cake, using this master mix?
