How old were you when you got married?

Did you marry at a young age or did you wait until you were a little older to do it?

Did you marry at the age you really
thought that you would?

Would you do it again at the same age?
Why or why not?

I got married at 16! Yes, it was a shotgun wedding. I had family support to help with child care while I finished high school. It was pure by accident that I got a wonderful man as a DH! Most girls who get married as teens don't have happy or long lasting marriages. I've been married for 30 years. My only complaint about DH is that he is way too passive. I would never do it again. I would become a grown-up before raising children. But, home was so horrible that it was a good thing for me to get married into such a happy, wonderful family.

I got married at 20 the first time. Wasn't a good marriage but stayed in it for 28 yrs. Married the second time to a wonderful man at the age of 50. He passed away after 7 years. Married the third time at 59. We are now married for 9 years.

I got married two weeks before my 21st birthday. We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary this October. Everyone told us we were too young, but it felt like the right time for both of us. I would not change a thing.

I was 21 and 4 months old when I got married and David was 22 1/2.
Many people said we were to young mostly people who had kids that got married in their late 20's they are now divorced.
My kids at 24 and 29 yrs.
We are good friends and talk about absolutely everything and kid wise never contradict each other on decisions made while the other was not there.
Yes I'd do it again as long as it was David and I get on with my inlaws LOL
We have 22 years on the 29th of this month
