Hi ya,
Got this information from at site, that Google highlighted. I only *copied* the information that was pertinent to the issue here. Please, the following information came from a web site, that was talking about wild animals, like foxes, wolves, cottontail rabbits and etc.
Sarcoptic mange mites are known to transfer from animal hosts to people, so persons handling mangy animals should take reasonable precautions: wear rubber gloves if possible, and always wash promptly after handling a diseased animal.
Notoedric mites are not transmissible to humans. Sarcoptes scabiei...that is the scientific word for Sarcoptes mange...but, it is the
scabiei part that got me to thinking. I bet, if you simply call your Dermatologist, and tell them you think, you just might have Scabies...they will want you in and examine you. Scabies is a microscopic mite and is highly contagious. Been there...done that. I just have a *gut feeling* that the Sarcoptes mange, is so much like Scabies, that they may even be the *same* mite.
Check this out, for some pictures.

The above URL is about Scabies, while there you can click on a link to view a picture of a man's arm, with scabies. This site, also, goes into full details about this disease.
Now, please, do NOT be offended, since this site is mainly talking about *sexually transmitted infections*, this can be a SDI...but, usually it is not and they point that out, in the article, ok?
