What are your plans for July 4th 2009.

July 4th this year is a Saturday. So for the people in the US what are your plans?

Dh's birthday is July 3rd. I am off that day for a 3 day Holiday weekend. So dh and I have desided to go see the PA Grand Canyon on Friday the 3rd. Then we will head to our friends in Potter County, PA for the rest of the weekend. We will go see fireworks and have a small picnic on the 4th.

Both my husband and I have July 4th off so we are going to grill dinner outside and watch the fireworks with the kids (unless they have other plans) and spend time together. Now that they are teenagers they might want to go to a friends house. I will let them this year so that my husband and I can have time to ourselves for once. I'm looking forward to it. Nomally one of us has to work.

We will probably grill out and maybe we will go and watch the fireworks.

My birthday is the 2nd so long weekend of celebrating...lol! I will be watching fireworks this weekend in my neighborhood & on the 4th it will be down by the riverfront.
Our neighborhood is small but mighty we celebrate the 4th on last Sat. of June with our own fireworks show all done by donations & fundraisers.

My nephews birthday is on July 4th and since I was there to see him enter the world, I'll stop over there during the day to hug and kiss him, give him his gift and spend some time with him. 9 yo this year. My sister always has a big cookout but she invites alot of co workers and spends most of her time entertaining them so I won't be staying for that. Dh and I will spend the afternoon/evening in our front yard watching the fireworks from downtown, you can see them clearly from our yard without having to drive down there... it's a big celebration called Red, White & Boom. Being in a large metropolitan city, we have fireworks all over the place the 3rd and 4th.

We are going to Crescent City, CA for the holiday week-end.
They have a parade and then they have a Farmers market at the park and fireworks at the harbor in the evening.
We are going to be visiting dh's sister and her hubby for the week-end.

We will do our usual weekend camping with our family. Have lots of food, play games, swim, boat, fish. In the evening most all the campsite owners set off fire works by the river. We will have smore's for the kids and other snacks. Usually a great time.
