Do Your Kids Participate In Summer Sports?

I know that there is a lot of focus on kids playing sports
during the school year but I'm wondering if this trend con-
tinues into the summer as well? Do you kids looks forward
to playing sports during their vacation from school or do
they prefer to take a break from it?

My kids are long past this. In fact my baby will be 39 tomorrow.

This is the second year my daughter will play summer sports. She participates in a summer basketball league.

My Big DS is expected to work out on his own in preparation for cross-country in the fall. I'm not sure when the team will start practicing. Usually midsummer they start getting together for practice.

My kids have never been interested in sports. But now they are all old enough to spend their summers with parttime jobs to pay for their car insurance, etc... And as long as they keep their grades up & behave they keep their jobs during the school year too.

My daughters would be in heaven if the soccer season would be over the summer. They will be going through soccer withdrawl this summer.

Well, except for youngest DD her team is actually going to be practicing one night per week this summer, and they will have a week long camp sometime the end of June, just in the evenings. This is the first season a coach for our league is holding practice over the summer. But, hey, that is why they are one game away from taking third place, in their first year of playing as a travel team.

I would have signed DDs up for the summer basketball camp, but, it was a little too expensive for me for the little bit they get. Maybe next year!

Miriam will be a cheerleader again for our recreation football team this year. Doesn't start until August though.
Maddie wanted to cheer too but isn't old enough. One more year.

I have 7 kids...5 of them participate in summer sports. Our 2 boys both play baseball. That starts up in April usually and goes into the end of June. Then they both play football, and practices for that starts up at the beginning of August usually. 3 of our girls play softball which starts up in April and then my youngest will be finished at the end of June. The other 2 have games scheduled until the middle of July. 2 of the girls are cheerleaders and start practices for that in August too.

All 3 of my kids partake in summer sports...my oldest and DD will do martial arts...all 3 will go to a martial arts camp for 1 week. All 3 of them play soccer and they go to a soccer camp for 1 week. If I would let them they would do ball and swimming lessons too...just not enough hours in the day.
