We have only ever had two puppies (the rest were older strays that adopted us), and the two puppies we had I brought home ( a lady was giving them away in front of the grocery). So we had two at once! They were immediately made outside dogs. We built a double walled insulated house for them with heat. We got them in November so that is why I got two and then even at that was worried about them being outside so that is why we did the heat too. After we got others and they were older we turned off their heat and they had adjusted just fine.
We lost one of the two going on three years ago to diabetis that we had no idea he had till it was way too late. So even though Issac is gone (he is buried in out memorial garden near our house) Levi has done well. It took him about a month to really start getting over his brother being gone. When we would open his 30 x 30 pen he would run right across the bridge into the memorial garden and sit at his brothers grave. We had let him sit beside Issac's body while we dug the grave and he was at the graveside the entire time so he knew just where his brother was.

So now we have four dogs total and they are all outside dogs with their own pens and insulated houses.

I named him Sky King and he is just adorable and very intellegent. he learned his name in 3 hours , he gets along with other dogs and my kittens that are the same age. If someone wanted him give me an mail message. He is so sweet
