I mix vinegar, water & rubbing alcohol to make window cleaner. Also, instead of using fabric softener, I use vinegar in the rinse cycle. I really can't stand the smell of fabric softener!
I use vinegar, ammonia, bleach and baking soda as cleaners at home (not together) and buy very little commercial cleaners with the exception if I can get it free I will then reuse the spray bottles for my own cleaners.
I have made my own powdered laundry soap but I've been able to get 6 bottles for just $1 so using that instead for now. I also use vinegar most of the time for fabric softeners in the wash.
I mixed a bit of fabric softener in a spray bottle filled with water and use it as an air freshener/antil static spray on the carpets and couches. I spray our hats and brushes in the winter to cut the hair flyaways with it.
