Anther great idea! Kind of a test run? Since I don't have a scanner I could get color copies made.

You can take Acrillic varnus (or other protectant) and either spray or get the type you use a brush with and paint the back of the picture with about 6-10 coates. This should protect the pictures from moisture. You might also want to put a few coats all over the frame so that moisture does not get in through any other way
