Dishwasher Magnet?

I want to have one of those clean/dirty dishwasher magnets. Does anybody know where I can get a pattern or picture to print out to make a magnet? Or something along those lines. TIA

Why not make your own.

You can use a magnet you already have or buy one. Then get some cool Fun Foam and decorate it.

Write, Paint or get letters to spell out the Clean and Dirty then place some pipe cleaners, sequins or stars in the middle to separte them.

This is just an example, but I am sure you can use your imagination to come up with something real adorable.

a real easy way to make one is to get one of the small magnetic frames that are just clear plastic, then either print out a little clean/dirty sign on the pc or take some markers and do it free hand. then slide the paper into the frame.

just make sure the front of your dishwasher is metal.

Hi,
How about plastic canvas or fusion beads?

You could get two pieces of plastic canvas, decorate it the way you want, possible a big "C" on one side and a "D" on the other for a simple look, or simply solid red for dirty ("stop") and solid green ("go") on the other side. Buy some of the strip magnet that you cut to the size you want and put between the pieces of plastic canvas. If magnets won't stick on the dishwasher itself, you could stick the magnet on the refrigerator. If the two-sided magnet won't have enough sticking power, you could make two separate magnets and stick the one not in use on your frige. The other option would be to fix the plastic canvas and put a string "hanger" on top and hang it on the dishwasher door with a suction cup or a little sticky-backed hook.

Another option would be the fusion beads (the kind you assemble on the pegboard then iron to fuse). Maybe make a smiley face for one, a frowny face for the other, then glue them back-to-back. Loop a yarn or a pretty chain through the top, then hang from a hook or suction cup or make them into separate magnets and stick the one not in use to the frige.

Great Ideas!

Thanks, you gals had some great ideas! I can't believe I was making it so hard. I've wanted for years now, lol. I think I'm going to have to experiment with all the ideas! I have tons of those picture magnets for the fridge. I'm a big picture person w/ my 2 girls, lol I'll have to try that one first and then experiment with the rest after I get some supplies. I'm sure you can tell, I'm not to creative I'm working on it though. Talk to ya later & thanks again for all the brainstorming for me!!!

if the magnet won't stick to your dishwasher then you have one with a plastic front. you would need to use a suction cup instead of a magnet.

Lightbulb clean/dirty dishwasher sign

hello to everyone.

i have a different idea.

how about make a reversible sign out of paper and laminate it to protect it (you can buy laminate sheets cheap at walmart).

i would draw a circle and put a happy smiley face on one side
and a frown smiley face on the other (happy=clean, sad=dirty)

you could use yellow paper,or marker, color pencils, paint etc.

you could also make it out of stitching canvas or felt or wood.

then put a hole in the top and add a ribbon to hang it on the handle of the dishwasher or use a suction cup to adhere it to the dishwasher front.
it seems most dishwashers have plastic fronts now-a magnet might not work.

good luck.

Always being a cheapskate, we use a 3 x 5 card with "DIRTY" written on it. We tape it to the dishwasher right by the handle--so even those who can't read notice it. When the dishwasher is run, the sign is removed and we stick it on the side of the stove hood until the next time.
Admsittedly, it's not cool and probably not too pretyy, but definitely cheap. And when it gets ugly looking or lost, you just make a new one.
