I will be sending out envies to Norma and the military this week. This is the least I can do for them. My oldest DS always prays for them. I think that they do not get the recognition they deserve.
Kathy, Janet - thanks for your kind words about my work with the coupons. Now, the Coupons have "Taken on a Life of their Own!" The print copy of the newspaper article was front page news and then a full page on page 6 inside the paper. The local TV Channel saw and read the article and called today for an interview. We did that at 4PM along with a photographer and a couponer friend. I thought I'd like to bring someone else with me so theyc could understand how we exchange coupon locally. It worked out well and the coupon's pre-teen girls are so excited that Mom is going to "Be a TV Star". My DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Auxiliary is really getting some nice free advertisement.
I went to the K-Mart double coupons sale today. Was disappointed. They would not take the $2 vitamin coupons I had even though I said I knew they would not be doubled, only up to and including $1. I have a few other coupons I'll use tomorrow and will talk to the top manager as he was not there today. I never heard of a store not taking the coupon for the face value except here in Anderson, SC they don't like internet coupons and will not take them. Don't have a link for the TV story which will air on 1/5 at 6PM and 11PM, WSPA TV.
LoriMae, different stores have different rules about printable coupons. My supermarket will not take them.
Today I went to take advantage of the CVS deals of the week. I got:
4 double-size packs of Stayfree pads
1 Fructis hairspray
2 Palmolive dish soap
1 box band-aids
I had coupons for all but the band-aids but needed those to make the $20 minimum J&J purchase so I could get: $12.50 back in Extra care bucks!!! Plus I had BOGO coupons on the Stayfree. So for all that stuff I spent $15.99 (saved $23.89 in store sale and coupons) and then they handed me back $12.50 in ECBs for my next purchase. I intend to use those to restock the medicine cabinet--something I always do at the beginning of the year.
Good deal Barb. I'm planning on picking up 2 Aleve CVS has on sale with Extra Care Bucks and there is a manu rebate also so with my coupons they should end up being free.
This time, the theme is going to be autumn/Halloween so your stories need to use smilies to express as many words as possible and your story should be focused on anything that has to do with autumn or Halloween.
Members will be allowed to submit one story pertaining to a Halloween story and one story pertaining to an autumn story. Please click here to enter!
