Need help putting names on glass ornaments

I bought a really nice box of solid colored glass ornaments for Christmas that I would like to put each of our individual family members names on in some creative way. I would like to somehow do them with glitter but am at a loss as to how to put them on...
I know I can't use just regular Elmer's glue or anything like that...
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
TIA!

Hi DisneyDel,
I would try using a glue called Alene's Tacky Glue. You can find it in most craft stores/Walmarts.
Take a piece of scotch tape and make the tip of the bottle smaller and write the names on the ornaments then sprinkle on the glitter. Or you might try using craft pens, these you will have to look for so you find what you are looking for. For that I'd go to a better craft store and ask for assistance.(Michael's is a good source)

Try Hot Glue and Gold Leafing

Hi DisneyDel~
I've used hot glue and colored leafing in the past with a lot of success. The hot glue is pretty easy to control so you can write nicely. The hot glue will remain "puffy" when it dries, so you can just rub the leafing over it to color your writing! You could also do a one-step process and just use the colored/glittered hot glue that you can sometimes find at the different craft stores.
I've also tried using some of the store-bought glitter glues in little tubes, and I would NoT recommend that! It lasts for a little bit and then flakes/falls off pretty quickly.
Have fun!

I think I used "Glass Deco" tubes last year. That's the stuff that you can do onto plastic sheet and then peel off to stick on windows. It worked well. You can get 'shiny' colours.

I've done this but used a glitter glue in a tube, that worked well and is still on the ornament after a few yrs. There are also 3D fabric paints with glue in them.

You can use the tube paint for decorating sweatshirts, found at any local craft and fabric store, and then sprinkle the glitter on afterward. They used to have one that looked like snow, white with the sparkles in it already. Have fun and remember to use a bowl underneath when you dust to catch them to reuse.

Paint pens would work. I think they make glitter paint pens too.

Thank you everyone for all the great suggestions!

I finally went with the paint pens and sprinkled glitter on them before they dried. (no easy task!)

They weren't quite what I had pictured in my mind but very nice just the same.

I'm sure my family will love them!

This is something I would like to try this year too.
I have some of the clear glass bulbs, just wondering what would be the easiest way to write the names on.
