QUEEN'S CROWN AWARD
-------------------
bluebird - Queen's Crown Award
bluebird has earned a Queen's Crown award for
earning 5 Frugal Tip icons. Here are her winning
tips:
1. It will save you a lot of money if you buy beef or
pork in bulk (from the farmer). See complete tip:
FamilyCorner.com Magazine - include click here
2. Saving up for a particular item for yourself? Why
not use a “reloadable” gift card? Add a little bit to
the gift card each time you are in the store and
watch the total grow until you have enough for
that special item!
3. Remake an old kitchen or bathroom cabinet
into a potting stand. Be sure to waterproof it!
4. Use scraps of polar fleece to make your own
reusable “Swiffer” dusters.
5. Use a cup of vinegar and a capful of Listerine
to help remove the musty smell in clothes.

sueanne - Queen's Crown Award
sueanne has earned a Queen's Crown award for
earning 5 Cooking Tip icons. Here are her winning
tips:
1. "Squeezing the water out of zucchini is important
for tasty zucchini bread. For great tips on how to
do this":

2. If you run out of barbecue sauce this is an easy
recipe to use:

3. To keep the top crisp and the casserole warm
going to a party, place a paper towel over the top
of the dish before wrapping it in foil. The conden-
sation from the hot food will be absorbed by the
towel instead of forming on the foil and dripping back
4. Chicken often contains unslightly dark spots. To
ensure flawless looking poultry soak in salt water for
a few hours. Salt draws out blood leaving it perfectly
white, & it brines the meat.
5. Herbs can be frozen in ziplock bags as long as you
get most of the air out before sealing. Press-and-seal
wrap is also a good way of preserving them in the
freezer.
