Pina Colada Smoothies

Summer is here and things are heating up. What better way to beat the summer heat, than with a cold drink? And you’re in luck, because today I’m sharing an easy recipe for a kid friendly Pina Colada Smoothies. Not only will this delicious smoothie cool you off, but it will please the most demanding kid palate out there too. Plus you can get the kids involved in the making. A win-win situation.
And I don’t know about you, but as a mother I constantly worry about what I feed my child. With artificial colors and flavors in nearly everything, I sometimes hit a road block. Plus most things that are geared towards children are paired with empty calories and high sugar content. But with this smoothie recipe, you have nothing to worry about. The ingredients are simple & inexpensive. No funny chemicals or additives. Besides the ingredients, if you have a blender, you are good to go. This recipe can make up to 4 servings.
Ingredients:
1 20-ounce can of pineapple chunks
3 frozen bananas
1 13.5-ounce can coconut milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
To make your smoothies, just throw all you ingredients in a blender & blend until completely smooth. Then pour into glasses and top with whipped cream if you like. Throw a straw in and sit back & relax. Be prepared to have to share your glass with your child, because they will probably finish theirs off within minutes. Enjoy!
