Make an Autumn Tree from Magazines
September 24th, 2013 posted by Amanda Formaro
The fall season is upon us and the leaves are starting to change color. Now is a great time to introduce a fun recycling activity that the kids will love. Make a tree, or even an entire forest, out of old magazines and construction paper.
This would also make a wonderful classroom project using a large roll of art paper. Have the children create a beautiful forest of colorful trees to decorate your classroom or daycare wall!
To make this fun magazine tree you will need:

Magazine(s)
1 sheet white construction paper
Scissors
Glue Stick
Have children sift through magazines to find pages with fall colors such as red, green, brown, orange and yellow.
Cut out a rectangle from a brown page to use as the tree trunk. Glue it to the construction paper.
Cut out simple leaf shapes from the colored pages and glue them all over for the leaves.
