Review: DefenderPad for Your Laptop

February 22nd, 2014 posted by Amanda Formaro

Like many people, I own a laptop. They are portable and convenient and great for sitting on the couch or in bed, but the heat that generates from the bottom can make surfing rather uncomfortable. When I was asked if I wanted to take a look at the DefenderPad Laptop Radiation & Heat Shield, I was all for it.

My laptop is aging. It’s already six years old and as it ages I’ve actually had it shut off from overheating. As a result, I started using a cookie cooling rack underneath it on my desk to keep the air flow going through. While that certainly has helped, having a cooling rack on my desk is unsightly, and it didn’t help with sitting in bed or on the couch.

Enter the DefenderPad.

First of all let me say that I am sold! I love this all-in-one laptop lap desk, cooling pad and radiation shielding pad. I keep it on my desk and when I want to go somewhere else, I simply lift the sides of the DefenderPad, which are about an inch and a half wider than my laptop on both sides, and away I go. It’s sturdy and easy to carry and acts as a desk right on my lap.

Radiation from your laptop is not really something people think about, but it’s a reality. The DefenderPad blocks both ELF & RF radiation and heat and is FCC certified lab tested.

The size is perfect and it’s great to use at home or while traveling. Because of its light and slim profile it easily slips into laptop bags, briefcases and backpacks, making it perfectly portable. Because the DefenderPad rests with the contour of your lap it keeps laptops, tablets and other devices stable as well.

Parents and parents-to-be will be especially interested to know that DefenderPad protects against fertility issues, DNA fragmentation, toasted skin syndrome, skin burns and rashes and other serious health risks that can be caused by laptop heat and radiation exposure.

I love my DefenderPad, my laptop has not overheated once since I started using it and I no longer feel the heat on my lap. If you are interested in checking out the DefenderPad go to
