What you do

// Lay hat down on work surface and plug in hot glue gun to preheat. Loosely tie sheer ribbon or scarf around the rim of the hat. Tie into a knot, or if you have enough ribbon, you can tie a bow. There should be enough so that about six inches of ribbon hangs over the brim of the hat. Tack down the ribbon with hot glue in several places around the rim. Cut stems off of silk flowers. Arrange embellishments on to the rim of the hat on top of the ribbon. Do not glue in place yet. Arrange them until you are pleased with its appearance. Glue each embellishment in place with hot glue. Let dry completely.
