Clay Pot Seashell Candle

February 12th, 2013 posted by Ben Franklin Crafts & Frames

This pretty summer craft is not only lovely, it’s useful as well. You may choose to leave the body of the pot plain, or you can paint it a calming color such as light blue, peach, or cream. A sponged color over a white base would look very nice as well. A great way to dress up your nautical or seaside decor!

What You Need

6 1/2″ wide terra cotta pot

200 – 1/8″ to 1-1/2″ wide assorted seashells

1 – 3″ x 8″ cream column candle

Terra cotta felt

6 to 8 cups of sand

Low temperature glue gun and sticks or tacky craft glue
