Hypothermia Kills~Be Prepared

Winter is coming.. make sure you are prepared by keeping your vehicle fully fueled, blankets, snacks, water in your vehicle. Below is a reactment of what happens when you are unprepared.

It is that time of year to restock the car and keep at least 1/4 tank at all times if not 1/2 tank of gas.

I do need to replace the wiper blades on both cars this month.

My dh was a bricklayer/stonemason before retiring, that means no work in the cold & raining seasons so getting ready for winter is in my blood. I start the cold weather with a full freezer & pantry, I just can't break the habit

Don't forget the vehicles.. this was a strong reality check about making sure to keep blankets, snack foods and water in your vehicle in the winter. This guy said when the day started out it was nice and warm, he didn't even have a coat.

A good use for that extra zippered tote/duffle bag we all have around the house so everything is kept need and tidy in the car for an emergancy.

Make a first aid kit from empty wipes container, the small ones are big enough for a small bottle of pain meds, bandaides, wipes, first aid cream, etc.
