Minny- I agree with you. Mom and I stopped taking the flu shots in the 70's. She lives to almost 92 and did well. We got them free in the military hospital in which we worked as civilians.

Minny I am sorry you are having probs with the flu shot. I personally have never had any probs and been taking them every year since 94 as well as pneumonia ones when I have to. I am not sure but think I am due this year for it again. Stay well all lots of lysol used in this house as well as always washing hands

We both have been getting the flu shot every year. The Board Of Health comes right to our development which makes it easier. So far no side effects from the flu shot. They say if you are allergic to eggs or feathers not to take the flu shot.

I try to make a pot of chicken soup every week just in case to ward off germs..

Staying away from people when they are sick is preventive medicine in itself.

My DS always manages to come down with the flu bug right before Thanksgiving every year. The good thing it only lasts a few days.

Refrigerator Door Handles

Everyone opens the fridge, its handle has more bacteria than bathrooms, sinks, and floors. The handle is often contaminated with bacteria from raw foods. Once a day spritz the handle with a bleach cleaner. You will cut bacteria levels by 95%. Keeping your family healthier.

We're a vitamin/supplement family... aside from a healthy and balanced diet, everything, and I do mean everything that hands come in contact with is regularly sanitized with disinfectant.

Door knobs, toilet handles, fridge doors, light switches, cupboard/drawer pulls, remote controllers for the televisions, etc, etc, etc.

Papaya for healthy living

We all had the flu shot this year so ds did not get sick this year. Planted a papaya tree that has been supplying the family with the germ fighting fruit. Hopefully it continues growing another year.

Getting the Flu shot, wiping down with
Lysol washing hands almost constantly. Did not know Papaya
was a fruit to help ward off Flu so will be buying them
often especially during Flu season.

I get a flu shot, dh doesn't.
I wash my hands frequently and dh does too.
I try to stay away from anyone spreading germs.
Dh stays at home.
Not much for supplements but we do try to get the right kinds of vitamins in our diet and I up the citrus during the winter months.
Tea lemon and honey are our go to soothers.

Benefits Of Papaya For Health

Papaya Benefits: Nutrition Facts & Health Benefits of Papaya

Papaya is known to help with so many problems that make us sick. Hopefully this fruit might help you too. Can be eaten as a fruit or cooked like a vegetable. Low in calories & sugar. Most supermarkets carry it so worth a try. I planted a tree to keep me supplied. Love to add it in smoothies which makes it a great breakfast drink for everyone to start the day.
