I think the trick to keeping the flu bug away is to keep your hands clean..we have cleaner & wipes in the car, house, my purse..and wash your hands often with a good soap..like the Gold Dial..if it dries your hands, put lotion on them. You must cover your sneezes too!

We also get flu shots, take vitamins, eat wholesome foods, get normal sleeping hours and exercise.

I also take VitD..it boosts your immunity and has been known to clear health problems.

I also believe in warm salt water gargles at the first sign of an itchy throat, chicky soup, and vit C.

Best bet, ask your doctor what is the best thing for you..that is why we pay them the big bucks.

We all get flu shots every year - DH's health insurance pays for them! We take multivitamins with extra C, get enough sleep and walk everyday. As mentioned before, hand washing with soap and water is the best defense against the flu.

No on in our family has ever had a flu shot, when the first came out they were for the older generation and I know no one my age who gets one.
We must be doing something right to keep that bug at bay

My family is heavy with washing hands, often. Also, I was just watching the news. The P.A. that they were interviewing said that the #1 preventative way to avoid the flu is by having your thermostat between 68 - 72 degrees AND use a humidifier. If I start feeling like I'm coming down with something, I up my dose of Vitamin C, take some Zinc, and Echinacea.

We get the flu shot. Hand washing is a must. If we feel like we're coming down with a cold or something we take Echinacea. We also take a multi-vitamin with minerals. I tale extra vitamic C.

Don't forget about gargling with warm salt water as well to flush those pesty germs out of your mouth and throat.

We wash our hands a lot, wipe down doorways and light switches. I try to air out the house too. We use silver and mushroom capules. My doctor strongly believes in vit C IVs. I have seen wonders since dd has been getting it.

During flu season I take Colloidal Silver, recommended by my Chiropractor. Also have a lot of garlic pills in the house, love garlic. My daughter made us garlic bread to go with the b'day dinner for me and my granddaughter Sunday. Mine was a belated b'day celebration because she did not get home from college in time for my b'day. Take vitamins in addition to the above, keep active and eat healthy.
