So far we've been lucky. Dh had a flu shot from work, but I can't have one. For some reason they effect me funny and I really get sick and pneumonia, etc. Last time Dr. said I'd be better off taking my chances as the shot seems give it to me and magnify and the symptoms.
I really feel bad for those who've had or going through the flu now as I hear this year's flu (all 3 kinds) is really bad.
We have to be very careful not to get anything as my "acquired" dgd, (who just finished chemo) has no immunity right now. I haven't been going out much because of it. I'm glad I'm not working at a school any more cuz I wouldn't be able to be any where near her! She has one more test (bone marrow) and then she will be pronounced in remission! The Dr. @ St. Jude have cautioned that even a mild cold will put her back in the hospital and can be life threatening. So, we've been taking precautions not to get sick.

Vivian, I will be saying prayers that you and your dgd's family will be hearing the great news that she is in remission.
