Question How do you stay organized while working outside the home?

I am an Office Manager for a very busy 4 doctor Veterinary Clinic. My boss just purchased a Palm Pilot for me and it has really made my life easier. I can keep track of all my appointments and assignments at work, plus keep up with my kids and husbands schedules too. It also has a place for me to keep track of my expenses including mileage.

I would love to hear how the rest of you stay organized!

I find www.Flylady.net to be a big help and covers a wide area of topics.

I keep a calendar on my refigerator for all appointments and a pocket size on in my purse plus I write on my calendar at work. It seems to work for me. I know its 3 different things but I know what is going on where ever i may be.

FlyBaby

I, too, discovered FlyLady.net. I really got myself together when I had my second child. During my maternity leave, I organized myself and home- then at 10 weeks when I went back to work.. it wasn't that hard. Now that I am at home for the summer- I am an elementary teacher- I feel like my house is a mess. We are in it all the time and I just want to play with the kids. That is why I call myself a Fly Baby- I am still taking baby steps. But each step is one step closer to truly being organized.

With working full time and being very involved in Girl Scouts and Heather having dance and counseling also I find it very hard to stay organized. I am able to keep track of appointments but I do not always have sufficient time to clean and organized Heather's clothes for the week and such.

No matter how hard I try I still manage to live in total havoc. I am so organized at work but when it comes to my own life I can't get it together!

This is something that my cousin really struggles with and what keeps her going through the day is her planner. She carries it with her everywhere she goes...she also told me that there is an episode on Surviving Motherhood focusing on maternity leave, showing how moms are managing work and home. She says that it comes on next week...you should check it out.
