Time Off For the Holidays

Well its that special time of year again. I get 1/2 day off for Christmas eve and all day for Christmas. Then I get 1/2 day for New Years eve and all day New Years Day. I usually don't take any vacation time during the Holidays but this year we have decided to take a small family vacation over the New Year Holiday. We are going to go to the Smokey Mountains from Dec 31 to Jan 5th. I am looking forward to the time off.

How about you? How many of you other working moms take time off for the holidays?

I am in heaven! I hoarded my vacation time and it is the best thing I have done in a long time. We worked 1/2 day Christmas Eve and were off for Christmas. But I am off on vacation from 12/26 until 1/1. Alas, I go back 1/2/03. It is so nice to stay home with the kids and help them play with their Christmas gifts. Definitely less stressful for all of us!
