Kids Online?

I know there was a thread on this topic a long time ago, but I was wondering what you and other parents are doing today to keep an eye on your kids on the internet or when you are not home, do you have restrictions on internet use? There are too many scary stories about online predators, so how can we keep them safer? Does anyone use NetSmartz411 as a resource? It is a good one and there are real people to ask questions to. What do you do?

I know NetSmartz411 is a good one, it is from a tech company and child safety advocates- Qwest Foundation and NCMEC.

thank goodness my is not the age to use the computer without me being there with them.
They enjoy the kids sites and I have those ear mark for them to go to, plus they have learned about them in school or either I've learned about them in school when I work.

For me we have heard of these programns but i don't let them use the internet on there own. Also won't let them have a myspace account eitheir. We will let them go on the internet but mom or dad need to be there. My oldest has gone online by herslef on her dads comptuer she got caught and was in big trouble for it.

Ps there is also a way to lock up the computer so they can't use it without a password too.
