We had grilled steak, brussels sprouts and couscous. I baked an applesauce cake this afternoon so we had a piece of that for dessert.

Dinner last night was the Harvest Supper at church - corned beef, ham, mashed potatoes, carrots, red flannel hash, cabbage, onions, baked beans, chili and lots of pies (I had cherry)

Dinner tonight will be the buffet at a wedding reception - my best friend's dd is getting married.

Had company yesterday; a friend whose kids I watched as they were growing up, we haven't seen each other for years! So we had beef stew, hamburgers and chicken breast for sandwiches, baked beans, potato salad, deviled eggs, cheese tray, and 3 different cookies made with splenda. Tonight whatever DH and I decide on from what is left from all that.
When I planned this meal it being October I thought we would have cool weather, but it got to 90 degrees yesterday! Luckily it is really cooling off at night (into the 50's) so it wasn't hot inside. I just opened everything like we do all summer at night let the cool air in and closed it up for the day, Was a very nice visit, but of course always too short!
