What's for Dinner? December 2008

Welcome to WHAT'S FOR DINNER, DECEMBER 2008! Can you believe it's already December? I know that this is one of those months where my carefully-made meal plan goes out the window with all the visiting and school activities and ball games that happen during this month.

This forum is the home of the famous Chef Guy award! To be eligible to win this award, simply post your favorite Main Dish recipes here. If your recipe is chosen to be published in the Time to Eat newsletter from our sister site, MomsMenu, you win a Chef Guy award!

Of course, we welcome all kinds of recipes here so if you have a favorite soup, salad, side, sandwich, dessert or baked good, why not share that recipe too? (But remember, only Main Dish recipes can win a Chef Guy).

Please, when you post recipes, make sure the ingredients and directions are complete

Thanks in advance for sharing your recipes and have a wonderful December.

Potato salad with herb bread and pork ribs will be for dinner tonight, nice fresh fruit salad for dessert

Kathy, you look a little more feminine than the Santa I saw earlier in the store. lol

Pag, I almost went the pizza route for the same reason. I decided eat ramen noodles with some bacon for comfort. I am still fighting the flu and studying for finals and, and, and....

Cut up four pork chops into bite size pieces coated with bread crumbs and browned them in oil with onions peppers & zucchini squash. After it was browned put it in the pressure cooker with a half cup of water under the rack. Cooked it for twenty minutes. Also made a sweet potato in the microwave and a salad.
Was a fast meal and delicious.

Monday will be chili in the crockpot.

How right Barb is December is a busy month at my house. Winter track, cheering for basketball, cheer practice for competition are all in full swing for December.
