Is everyone eating cabbage & blackeyes to start off the new year? Any other foods that your family HAS to have to start off the new year?
What are you serving for dinner/supper this month?
Remember - post your main dish recipes here and you could earn your Chef Guy award if your recipe is featured in Time to Eat.

I'm thinking with my bbq sausages I'll have hash browns, pineapple and coleslaw, with garlic bread.
Unexciting I know but filling and the kids have bottomless pits for stomachs!

Thanks Abear for starting the new thread..are you on Aussie time too? lol
Only teasing..
Kathy, what did your sil feed you all for breakfast? I hope it was something good to eat when you were all bleary eyed.
My favorite breakfast is coffee and fresh fruit in season..wrapped around a pancake!

Not that I ate it all but she served up, bacon, poached eggs, potato rosti, croissants, chippolatas, scrabmled eggs, really thick fruit toast (we took that) juices, tea coffee, fruit, cherries the fattest and sweetest I've had for years, grapes and mangoes, I think that covers it.
Lunch doesn't seem that interesting to me now! LOL
You know now after having some American friends I like pancakes with bacon and egg and maple syrup... but that pic of yours there looks pretty darn good!

Happy New Year to you all! I wish you happiness and health in 2006!
Wish I was going to be home today so I could watch the Mummers Parade, but we are heading "up north" again to the ILs. I have no idea what FIL is going to be cooking, but I know he's planning something! He loves to cook and experiment with recipes. So we'll probably be having something featured on Food TV within the last week or so!
Patti, I'm taping the Mummers for my dad. Would you like me to send you the tape when he's done with it?

Hello all, and Happy New Year!!
Wishing you all great blessings for the coming new year.
We had a great time at my friend's last night, didn't get home until almost 2 in the morning, so I slept late this morning.
We brought home lots of good food from the party. So it is leftovers for us tonight!!!
Football day here, our Bucs are playing now. GO BUCS!!
Have a wonderful day!!!
