Thank you cindy, and I am sure my sons will thank you... though the oldest HATES mushrooms...think I will make it tomorrow, because I want to get enoki, and dried maitake mushrooms to put in it...the first being good for your liver and ulcers (I had ulcerative colitus) and the latter being good at fighting fatique, obesity and lowering blood pressure! The kids love chicken so they can eat around the 'shrooms and I will eat them all... health through food...one of my new found intrests!

First of all welcome JJOJ nice to have you here with us. Nice group here and know you will be a great addition. What part of KY are you in? I have a sis in Hop'town near Ft Campbell.

Dinner tonite not sure but most likely leftover Chili. Will make some cheddar biscuits to go with it. Of course Steven will have his spaghettios.

I have a 2 and 1/2 yr old... and he is lucky to get Ramen noodles with a bit of butter a little garlic and onion powder, and 1/4 of the flavor packet.... NO Spaghetti 'o's...LOL the mess would be unbearable! (Actually he doesn't like tomato sauce of anykind, and doesn't do mac and cheese either.... anyone else have a young one like that?

Hello, Pag36, thank you for the welcome. We live near Taylorsville, Ky. Kind of in the middle of nowhere. My dh used to teach ROTC at UofL and used to go to Ft. Campbell lots ! It is a beautiful area, for sure. Take care.

Dinner tonight will be a chicken stir fry for me and chicken for the kids with rice. I start my good eating habits today, had enough high calorie food through the hoidays to last me a year!!!

Stopping at the store to get things to make homemade chix soup since we all have bad colds and dd1 is home from school (1st day back!!!) with the start of flu. Round and round we go, passing the germs to and fro...
My bread maker is calling me, maybe we'll have a loaf with the soup too.

Welcome to the friendliest place ever jjoj! Looking forward to some of your recipes! I had a sister in law that lived in Taylorsville, KY and I used to live in Louisville, Ky so know right where you are talking about. Very pretty area to live in. We moved further out in the country ourselves, in a rural area of Indiana!

Put a frozen whole chicken in the crockpot this morning, will probably just slice up the breast and have it with gravy and mashed potatoes and hubby can have brussel sprouts while I have spinach! Have some tossed salad to go with it and a couple of tomatoes to put on top of it before they go bad. Paid too much to let that happen!

Just as I thought! Snow is gone, but now we are flooded in! Actually the snow was probably the better thing; at least the roads didn't wash away!

Quiet here, my son's last day of winter break, he goes back tomorrow.................So he has been moping around here, gotta love teenagers!!! LOL
