Made tacos in a bag tonite - its not too much bother and its fun for the kids.
little snack sized bags of fritos or doritos - lightly crushed
then put out all the fixins for tacos - seasoned meat, shredded lettuce, tomatos, salsa, cheese, sour cream, etc - put what you want in the bag, mix it up and eat from the bag. -fairly easy clean up too :D

Was it taco night on FC? Thats what we ended up with too! I like those taco in bags-a great picnic idea. Sometimes we "picnic" in the car running errands or on trips too

Was a beautiful day here in Florida temps hit the upper 70s. My Mom arrived tonight from New York just before the bad weather hit there.
Made a Perdue Oven stuffer. Always stuff it with apple slices gives it a nice fruity taste. Also made mashed potatoes, mushrooms & broccoli. Had papaya for dessert. Everyone like the pizzelles. She was so glad to get here where it is warm.

I LOVE guacamole! I have never put chili powder in it. I just put avaquados, lemon or lime juice, finely diced onions, maybe jalapenoes, and tomatoes! Put in salt and pepper to taste. That is all I put in it. If I am in a real hurry, I put in salsa instead of onion and tomotoes. Only, I do the salsa ONLY as an emergency thing.
It does look like Mexican night here doesn't it! lol
Well, I'm readdy to start a diet to lose the weaight I gained during the past few months! Whooo!

Good Morning......
I got this recipe from a newsletter that I recieve and thought I would give it a try since I have a lot of ham left over from xmas in the freezer. I think I might use cheddar cheese instead of the parmesan or maybe I'll just mix a handful of it into the soup mixture not sure yet. Ds #2 is not too fond of parmesan cheese so I modify recipes for him when I can.

Tonight's dinner will be turkey with all the trimmings: homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes, mashed rutabagas, gravy and corn.
The turkey is 20 lb so ALL the leftovers will be set up to serve at Saturday's party.

Tonight we are going to have sweet and sour chicken with rice. Last night was spaghetti with home made sauce and steamed broccoli and baby carrots. I thought there would be enough for left overs tonight but they ate nearly all of it. Eother they were really hungry or it was really good. I am voting for really good, LOL
Have a great day.
Hugs, Stormy

Tonight will be "eat what you can find in the fridge" night. With DD Jenna being gone and me having a business meeting tonight, the boys will just have to fend for themselves. They have their choice of mexican finger foods, pernil (roast pork shoulder & ham) I'll make rice and vegies for them before I leave.

What about Lici ????
Today is DS # 1's birthday. He is officially a teenager! I must say that he doesn't look 13 at 5' 7". I keep remembering him when he was still in diapers and wondering where the time went. I don't know why I am so mushy about this - I wasn't like this when DD turned 13! Now I am left with only one "child" in the house - DS # 2 who is 10 (11 in June). Now I have an adult daughter in the house (20), a teenager and a child.
Supper tonight is going to be homemade oven chicken nuggets/tenders with mashed potatoes and whatever veggie DS picks.
Marble cake with chocolate frosting for dessert.
