Mmm. I'm thinking this board is just what I need to motivate me. I'm new to FamilyCorner and I just love it here! I've been getting a bit lazy lately on cooking dinner - dh works nights so I guess that's why. Kids and I got take-out tonight, but reading this board is going to help inspire me. Thanks!

Diane...Welcome Again

PatAZ...Welcome too

Dinner tonight is gonna be leftover from our guests last night...

marinated chuck steak (they were sooo tender!)
scalloped potatoes in heavy whipping cream
green salad

rainbow sherbert for dessert if I can stay awake that long...the couple we had over were in their early 20's and up for playing a game of Rook, a game of Cranium AND a game of 3 to 13...it was fun to have some people up for fun but we didn't get to bed until 2am...I've been dying all day! Hopefully the boys will go to bed early tonight so we can catch some ZZZZ's;-)

Tonight's dinner. DH is on a low fat diet that his dr gave him. It requires chicken for supper.

Oh I know what you are going through with the diet thing for hubby. Mine was on one for years and years and was taken off it for a long while to heal after an accident, but recently has been put back on it We have many many meatless meals all the time. I've learned a lot on how to cook and get protein in the meal with no meat. Mine is on a next to nothing fat at all diet so it can be challenging! It isn't just the meat thing I guess you've already seen all those little fat grams hiding in almost everything! I'd be glad to give you any help or suggestions you need if I can; just ask, and oh yeah;; Welcome!!!

Diane4- Welcome to you too!!

Looking forward to hearing from you both on here and to get some more good recipes!!

Welcome Diane4 and patsAZ

Boy I like your guys idea of ice cream for dinner!!!

Tonight my hubby took me out for dinner and an ice cream from dairy queen for dessert. It would have been a perfect evening excet I got a whooper of a migrain...just rying to catch up but I think I'm off to bed.
