What Did You Do Frugal Today~November 2018

For encouragement in frugal ways--large and small--look no further. This is where we share helpful hints for stretching our money, saving time and making sure we don't waste resources.

Remember, "frugal" does not mean "don't spend money!" It means "be wise with what you spend!"

Thank you Roberta!
Planning my grocery shopping and using coupons when I can.
It takes some time to sit and go through the fliers etc but I think it is worth it.

I took advantage of Fry's sale on American Beauty pasta @49 cents a pound, and stocked up. It is the sale I wait for. Also, Land o Lakes butter @ $1.99 per pound. I should be good for a year. DH is Italian, and we eat a lot of pasta.

Has anyone heard from Anna? I pray David is ok.

Still doing my grocery shopping at Publix stocking up on all the b1g1 items that I use each week. Been buying the top sirloin steaks when they are on sale and cutting them in half and making two meals they are so big. Did save $74 the other day with the frozen foods b1g1 that I use. I don't have to shop every week unless they have a good sale. The steaks come out perfect in the
Nu /wave air fryer!

The steaks look yummy Sueanne.

I bought 2 more turkey breasts 8lb, 9lb this week at $.99lb was able to get one in the freezer and thawed the other to cook today.

Stopped at the grocery Friday night after picking up a friend of dd2's that was spending the night. Decided to pickup hamburger to make chili for the weekend (3lb 80% for $5.69 froze half). In the meat dept I pointed out a NEW 2lb Bob Evan sausage package $8.99 then looked at the 1lb packages for $3.69 (bought 2 lbs, froze 1) and asked her which should I buy. She is quick with math so she said "I wonder how many people over paid with the 2 lb pack".

Will be buying a frozen whole turkey this week for 49 cents per lb. at Publix!
Cannot resist the cheap price. Hopefully I can get one that is not to big!
It doesn't feel like Thanksgiving without Turkey for us.
