Been doing a lot of work outside on hedges in front of the house that were getting to big for my hedge clipper to cut. My palm tree cutter gave me a good price for removing them. The front of the houses looks neater without them. Put some mulch and moved some of my concrete pots with flowers out there.
Need some more mulch to finish it up.

Jean, I haven't made the ghee yet. I bought six more pounds of butter, this time unsalted, to make it with. I also have a two-pound portion of Amish butter, which is salted, that I will try also. However, it is recommended to use unsalted. I will be sure to report my results with both.

Anna, so glad to hear from you. I am glad to hear David's doctor is opting for the less drastic treatment. Please know you and he will be in my prayers. Congratulations on your new girl. What is her name?

I repurposed large plastic bags for trash, stayed out of stores this past week.

Decluttered dd2's bedroom, reboxed items that she is keeping so they would stack in the closet and take up less space.

Went to Goodwill found these pretty Hand painted dishes from a collection site. Look nice for the Holidays for serving snacks.

Very pretty Sueanne.

I don't think I've mentioned that me friend that I have been power of attorney for the past 3 yrs past away on the 18th. I've been working on getting her apartment cleaned out and posting items for sale that I don't want. I'm working at getting everything out this weekend so I wont have to pay for the Dec rent. Going to sell our queen size bedroom suit and using her's will have to store ours in the garage until it sells.

Hi girls, hope you all had a good holiday last week and have had a good last week of November. This year has just flown by.

Laura, I guess where you live you don't have much of a winter? We have been getting snow, rain and just a mixture of everything here. Today warmed up a lot.

Sueanne, those dishes are so pretty. My favorite is the white one with the pears.

Roberta, you are always so busy I don't know how you do it all. Is your grandson excited for Santa?

We had a nice Thanksgiving with both our sons, dil and dil's sister. Plenty to eat and plenty for them and us to have leftovers. I think I've pretty well finished my Christmas shopping but I still need to buy lots of food. Most will have to be close to Christmas so it will be fresh. I need to do some wrapping and finish decorating my tree. Some of the lights didn't work this year on my prelit tree so dh just added some on it. I had thought about just not putting up a tree but after all these years putting one up its hard not to. Also, need to put out the rest of my Christmas rugs and anything else I haven't put out already. I guess my biggest frugal this week was getting 4 packs of rolls for a dollar. I guess the grocery store had bought too many for Thanksgiving and the date was getting close on them. I double bagged them and stuck them in the freezer. Well have a good weekend everyone.

Jean, we live near Phoenix, and we usually don't get "real" winter cold. I've acclimated to the heat (not when it's 115-120), so 70 degree weather feels really cool to me. The older I am getting, the more I am noticing the heat and cold, and my comfort zone is getting smaller every year! The forecast this year for us is a mild winter. A couple of years ago, the leaves dropped off the trees, and within 2 weeks, they were all budding out again. We never did get the right temps to prune everything that winter.
