What Did You Do Frugal Today~September 2018

For encouragement in frugal ways--large and small--look no further. This is where we share helpful hints for stretching our money, saving time and making sure we don't waste resources.

Remember, "frugal" does not mean "don't spend money!" It means "be wise with what you spend!"

What Did YOU Do Frugal Today?

Been eating my frozen figs from my two trees that I froze in June & July. Love putting them in the microwave to soften on buttered toast with cinnamon & honey. Usually pick some Moringa each morning to add to the toast too. The fig leaves do make a delicious tea that I like cold. Has health benefits for your body. Have been using the green papaya cooked with ground turkey & other veggies for a hearty nutritional meal. I have two trees so should supply me for a few months. Waiting to see if my peach and pear tree will give me fruit this year around Xmas time. It produces again in the spring. Started pureeing all my fruit & veggie scraps and feeding my Moringa trees now seem to be growing leaves faster as I pick them. Started trimming back my olive tree will make some cutting to donate at the garden club. Like to do it in the morning before it gets to hot & thunder showers in the afternoon. See what tomorrow brings.

Gave ds a haircut today with the razor comb. He has thick black hair that grows fast. With the heat & humidity short hair makes you look and feel better. Save a lot of money letting me do it the way he likes it.

Prayers Needed

David just got his test results back from his PSA test. It looks like his prostrate cancer may be back. We are paying to have the test results done over in case it was a mistake. Please pray for us it's going to be a hard road ahead. I am still looking for a job, interviewed Friday should hear mid week. I am so scared.

I pray David's test result is a false positive, and you find the perfect job Anna.

My cell phone gave up the ghost Saturday after having been goofy on Friday. So Sunday I got a new one, their credit card system was on the fritz so thankfully I had enough cash at home to pay the bill and that the store was in town.

I stopped at CVS today and was able with sale, manu coupons, store coupons, cash back to get 4 Lady Speed Stick Deod, 1 Colgate Optic White toothpaste, Crest 500ml mouthwash and 56ct One A Day gummy vitamin for $2.64 a 93% savings, basically just tax.
