What Did You Do Frugal Today~April 2018

For encouragement in frugal ways--large and small--look no further. This is where we share helpful hints for stretching our money, saving time and making sure we don't waste resources.

Remember, "frugal" does not mean "don't spend money!" It means "be wise with what you spend!"

What Did YOU Do Frugal Today?

Been getting the back porch ready for company coming. Cleaning all the vinyl windows that snap out so can do both sides with a vinyl cleaner & protector. Put out side all the plants that I had started for spring time.

Some times you wonder why you bother seemed right at the time. They charge $25 an hour for cleaning so will tackle it a couple hours a day myself washing all the chairs, table and carpet. Cut back all the hedges in front of the back window so made it more cheerful. he back of the house gets shade in the afternoon so it will be a nice place to cool off from the heat .

I'm just dropping in to say hello. I'm doing all my usual frugals. I'm cooking my free spiral ham tonight. My side's are things I'm putting together from the freezer and pantry. I made some jello and added fruit ****tail. I had some bananas that were black so I made banana bread.
I'm working on my list for next week. I'm cleaning out the freezers so I'll be mainly buying fruit and veggies.
How is EVERYBODY? Has anyone heard from NORMA?
Have a great day.

Laurie, I was thinking the same thing about Norma. I haven't seen her on FB for a few days.

I am doing all the frugal things also and cooking from the freezer and pantry. I used up some chicken bones yesterday and made chicken broth and pressure canned it.

Had a good time at the Flea Market at our development for two days from 8-1 each day. Glad I live close by could walk back and forth with what I bought each time. Always find things I like or can use. Picked out some pretty bracelets & necklace sets real reasonable. Did get a chance to see some old friends that were there.
Did get a chance to say Hi to Norma on chat and that I missed Her on FC.

Been doing the normal here. Rolling DH's cigs, using as many coupons as possible, shopping the sales, cooking from the freezer & pantry, multi car fill ups to hit the 35 gallon max on our discounts.

I got a X-large heating pad yesterday $47 and I paid $12.50 out of pocket. I had a 40% off any item, 30% off just for you, $5 in extrabucks and a $5 gift card for CVS. So I can do my heat therapy on my back per the Dr's orders. I go Monday to start PT on my back.

I did splurge on a much needed 90 min body massage Thursday for $85 which is a good price here. I'm hoping with the heating pad I can keep the knots in my shoulders and back to the minimum and with therapy.

Norma must not have had time to pop in here.. her best friend Eva died last week and she went back home to NJ for the funeral. I haven't seen her on FB either but she said she would be missing due to going back home for the funeral.
