Hello Ladies,

Charlotte, Cancun in the winter, sounds nice.

Norma, sorry about the car trouble. I am still having trouble also. After having my truck for 11 days they finally said it was done. I didn't even get the 14 miles home before the check engine light was back on. That was Thursday night. I called Friday morning and told them what happened but that I didn't feel like dealing with it that day. My ds1 went there Monday and talked to the guy and he said of course to bring it back and he would give it priority treatment and fix it. It was acting up, acting like it wasn't getting fuel and wanting to stall when ds started it Sunday so he asked me to have it towed back to the shop instead of trying to drive it. I called AAA this morning and they are supposed to be here any time to pick it up.

Anna, sorry to hear Sugar is up to her tricks again, silly puppy.

Cau, did you get a lot of snow with this storm? I trust you are staying in safe and warm?

We got a little rain a couple nights ago, but it's not cold here at all, high around 60 each day. All the fields around me and the mountains are so green right now. We still haven't broken our drought but we have had some very useful rain the past couple months.

Ellen, a foot of snow? Wish I was there, love snow!

JoAnne, funny on the men/women bread, hadn't heard of that.

Ds1 left for Arkansas this morning for about 3 weeks. He;s the one that works for the Forest Service in the timber division. Seems wasteful and silly to me to send guys from CA that far to work when there is work here in this state for them. Guess I just don't understand how it all works. He will be back working in CA next month. My one dsil works for the FS also, in the fire division, now I see sending the wildland firefighters where the fires are.

Okay need to go find something to eat while I wait for the tow truck.

Good afternoon ladies!
Dropping in to say hello.
Ellen today is Sammis birthday. You are right on time. Sounds like you got a bit more snow than us here in the Poconos. Hubby measured 8 on Saturday and just 3 yesterday. I am glad for that.
Norma I hope your car fix is inexpensive. I am so sad to hear that you won't be able to do that teaching job. I can hear your excitement in your typing when you typed about it.
Charlotte I am so glad you had such a great time in Cancun. Your pics are great. I am also happy that you found someone that makes you laugh. I am a firm believer that laughter is really good medicine.
My usual frugal things here. Made a pot of chili out of a little of this and that last night. Turned some somewhat stale rolls into a nice garlic bread for dipping. Yum!
I have so much to comment on and then I forget what I read. Have a great day and stay Warm!

Good evening all!!'

Roberta that is just too cute. And they do truly look like they are totally innocent when asked.

Charlotte, glad you had a good trip, with whomever, and I hope it continues now that you are back to a normal place. Sometimes things change as the scenery and situations change.

Anna, hope you have a solution soon to the Sugar problem. Only if she were a more responsible puppy...and respectful of others property...LOL

Lauri, I love those garlic rolls out of stale ones, crispy and they seem to soak up so much of the juices. Glad you were being that frugal to make that chili out of what you already had.

Anna, sorry that particular brand of sausage does not agree with you or your dh. I have tried the Carolina brand and have that happen to me each time I have tried it. I am better with other brands. And it is such a shame because they pack such nice 5 lb. boxes - less trips to the store.

Ellen, I am sad about missing those opportunities too, but I trust Elwood will find some more for me. We only have 4 people in the order dept, and it is just way too hard with one out, let alone 2. It is just a rule, and who am I to buck the status quo until I am ready to leave and not look back.

Roberta, the mechanic said it is some corrosion on the wires under the dash/hood. By the time I called him it was about 3, he said they had worked through almost all of them, washing them, and applying anti-corrosive protectant to them. He wanted to keep the car and run it around some tomorrow to make sure they got it all, before giving it back to me. Said it was not a difficult fix, just took awhile to work his way through them all. I noticed there were no cars sitting outside when we pulled up this morning, and when I went in, there was only 1 car in the bay (he has a 2 bay indoor area to work), so I was happy that he was able to look at it right away. He said my description of what was wrong, was good enough to lead him in the right direction.

Roberta, the car never stopped. It started right up, lights and all this morning. I kept hearing alternator all day, but Marty said no.

Cheryl, I just continue to praise God that He has allowed me to have one more day, and for that I should be happy, and just trust in Him for my everything. When I was getting all the critters last year, even the skunk under the bedroom, I just put my trust in Him, because He is my rock and my refuge. He always acts on time (His time, not mine) and I am always where He puts me. Not always where I want to be.

Well, better go for now. Work was not bad. There are still parts of the country under a lot of snow, and are not able to get out to work, or anywhere else for that matter. So our phone calls were reduced. One lady in Canada called to place an order and asked how we got in today. When I told her we only had 2", she said she didn't call yesterday because her manager told her we were closed - our fb page said we would open at 11 yesterday.

Take care all!! Norma

Hello everyone. I am tired tonight. I have a sinus thing that is wearing me down. I had two massage appts today so I am dragging. Good to be busier!! Work at the salon is looking much better. I am going to hold on to the thought it WILL be okay.

Funny or strange, whatever, I have had people interested in the calm collars for dogs until they realize they have to pay for shipping. I may raise the price of the collar and pay for the shipping myself. If that is what it takes.

We babysat a bit yesterday and today. Babies are fun, and then they go home. Win win. Jasmine doesn't know much about babies so she is learning.

I will be posted photos on the blog with my latest sewing projects. I will get them ready tomorrow.

I had six milk jugs waiting for me at work today.

Connie

What are the milk jugs for?

Roberta

Loved the photo LOL! Too cute and yes, I know that look very well.

Work went well today and my drawer was good. So far the two managers I've had do the tills have been very good and not complaining about counting the drawer at my convenience not theirs.

Dh has been waiting for a call from his doctor with the lab results from his prostate test was supposed to call him Monday. We haven't heard then today he gets a call from a Urologist to set up a appt. to come in for a exam. We are worried and upset that his doctor did not call him and explain why he's sending him to the urologist.. was the blood test results the same, higher? So hopefully we'll hear tomorrow why he has to go to the eurologist. The test sounds painful they stick a needle up the male part, Ewww!!!! If that is the test they plan to do that dh has researched. Roberta.. your input on this would be helpful since you've been through this with your husband.

Well gang I better get ready for bed.

Hi girls, hope you all are doing good. It was cold but sunny today so that was nice. I took a little walk outside today. We have a chance of more snow Friday morning and then again on Sunday.

Roberta, loved the dog picture and saying.

Anna, I hope your dh can find something out soon and that all will be okay.

Norma, glad the car didn't have a worse problem and hope you get it back tomorrow.

Chris, that's great news about your brother and I hope he and your mother continue to improve.

Frugal today was staying home and eating from home. Dh had some leftover bacon with his breakfast and I had some more leftover homemade soup. I washed 4 loads of laundry in cold water and went through some clothes in my closet. I decided I didn't want some of them so I have some bags ready to give away. I want to go through the house and declutter but still can't bend over good or lift heavy things so I figure I will do a little that I can as the moods hits me. I have too many things that I don't use or wear and don't love that needs a new home. Well have a good night everyone.
