What Did You Do Frugal Today-June 2010
For encouragement in frugal ways--large and small--look no further. This is where we share helpful hints for stretching our money, saving time and making sure we don't waste resources.
Remember, "frugal" does not mean "don't spend money!" It means "be wise with what you spend!"
What did YOU do frugal today?

Frugal for me?Went to Gw and got a pair of shorts and a pair of capris for my youngest for 50 cents. The capris she needs to wear a belt.Went to Wm and spent about 8.00 for 2 things and then went to the libary in town to sign us up for the summer reading program.Been pretty busy as the oldest had drived ed and then a driving lesson and is with the b/f/.She will be home in abit.
Got 3 haircuts and that was about 41.00 plus tip. Tonight swim team is starting up so I will be taking the middle dd for that.Going to try and not spend any more money here.

Subbing,
Jo Anne, good luck on the tests. I'm to chicken to do the regular MRI, I do the open one I feel for you as it had to hurt like heck laying on your back that long. Sorry your ds lost his cat
I went to Ultra today to get the loss leader from the holiday. They had some real deals but I forgot it was the 1st of the month. The place was like a zoo. I won't forget that anytime soon.
Roberta I decided to keep a GW bag in my closet and I keep adding to it. I say yes when every they call and fill up a couple bags. I'm finding I feel freer not having all the stuff

LISA - you sound like you were pretty frugal to me for a 3 day weekend! The lake sounds like fun. That was pretty dirty of your homeowner not to even offer more $$. Like you said you didn't get hurt on purpose.
As for Hoarders - yes it is revolting. I watched 2 1/2 shows and had to quit. I felt creepy crawly all over just watching it. I have probably too much stuff - but my house is very clean - NO TRASH here!!
Crud there was others I meant to respond to - but I forget!!
FRUGAL today - went to my friends and delivered her bd card and homemade ice cream. She was thrilled.
Had to pay dh insurance at City Hall. Went to feed store to get stocked up for the month for squirrels and birdies. Got gas.
Then on to library to drop off and get a couple new books.
Pulled weeds from the side of drive (between drive and fence). It's about 5" wide but about 75' long. Whew was it hot.
Got about half of the dead stems and flowers off the peony bushes. Might finish up tonight before the rain starts.
All meals from home. Other than insur. and feed store - no other money spent.
We had another original homeowner neighbor pass away. It was catty corner across the street. So sad. But being 97, she had a fantastically long life. And very healthy till the past couple months.
Dh had a good idea. We have been eating a lot of popscicles since it's been so hot. We are now saving the sticks, I wash and dry, then they will be used next spring as plant markers for seedlings. Pretty smart and "green" too.
It was 85 today - and mostly sunny. We did get some nice rain last evening. Supposed to rain most of tomorrow. Starting Thurs. temps are supposed to get to 80 or lower, for a few days. YAY!
Guess that's about it. Hope you have a great evening. Hey, tomorrow is hump day!
