Not to frugal here today. I had to go to the laundry mat and wash my clothes. Dh went with me. We brought everything home to dry. It cost me $10 just to wash 1 weeks of clothing for 4 people.

We stopped at the store and got a few things for the superbowl tonight. Dh stopped at duncan donuts and bought a dozen doughnuts.
Have a wonderful day.

Hi everyone! I'm back from my trip to Chicago. It was a good ride there, good ride back, no problems encountered. The girls had a great time at their grandmothers, got to spend time with their cousins and their dad was even on his best behavior! The alumni game was good but we were all so busy catching up I can't remember who won! I did meet Micheal, the man I've been talking to. He's very, very nice and we got along fantastically. I know it's long distance but we're going to try that. I think it's good, we get to actually talk on the phone, the computer, get to know each other that way and then make a trip or two a month to visit, spend time with each other and have the kids slowly get to know him.

I need to go flip laundry and pick up my extra key. Will check in later on. I have to admit, I'm tired!

Hugs all,
James 1:2-4

Good Evening Everyone

I haven't been online much today have been wrapping soap all day, have about 50-60 more bars and it's done Wahoo! Other than packing them into the boxes we're delivering them in. Saturday will be payday, sweet!

Frugal today is staying home, no money spent... all the ice finally melted off my roof and gutters today. My friend Neal and I have taken turns the past few days of shoveling ice/snow out of the sewer drains so they aren't blocked and the water can drain instead of backing up. I do the one in our alley, he does the one on the other side of the alley.

We're watching the Super Bowl and I tried to teach my sister by phone how to make hard tack candy, she is gung ho to throw it all together and I kept stressing listen to me, sigh! Would love to be there to see her reaction when she realizes this isn't chocolate, LOL!

Glad to hear you had such a good trip to Chicago and got back safely.

My little sister is coming home from Ga. Feb. 17th sure hope she doesn't run into bad weather on her way here, that little Mustang they have is not made for snow/ice. Cute little car but not very practical for traveling.

Hello, my friends!
I just wanted to say a quick hi. We are once again out of power-since Friday-so I don't know how long I will be offline. Hoping and praying not so long! Anyway, I am at dh's office, checking email and will be back when I can.
Take care and I miss you all!

This is good at every Denny's In America-

On Tuesday, February 3, every guest at Denny's from 6AM to 2PM will receive one free Grand Slam breakfast. A Grand Slam breakfast is 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, and 2 pancakes.

Additionally, each customer will get a free coupon book with 8 coupons: four BOGO, two 25% off, 1 free dessert, and 1 free order of pancake puppies.
Apparently, each Denny's location received 1,000 coupon books to hand out to guests on Tuesday who order a free Grand Slam. Additionally, each restaurant received 500 rain checks for guests who aren't able to wait on Tuesday. So, if the line is long, as to speak to the manager and see if you can get a rain check.
