Did You Know??

If you take your old coffee grounds and lay them out on paper and let them dry you can reuse them several more times? Just redry them again on the paper towels.

I heard this on the news yesterday. They said don't do that with tea bags though as there is a chemical released in tea bags on the first run through that can be toxic if used again.

Thanks for the tip, Anna! I'm not a coffee drinker, but I will share it with those who are!

Lisa (lislynn), you asked about exercise support threads, yes there are many but none with really recent postings. I would pick one and I bet we all join in because I think we all have to get the winter sludge out of our muscles and lungs! I myself have been putting off doing just what you did last night. I was joking with my dh about the kiosk job saying there certainly wouldn't be any snacking all afternoon and that I might lose some weight.

Anna, Interesting tip but I admit I dont think I am that frugal maybe if I had more counterspace I think it would just end up being a mess. Did it say how long it usually takes to dry?

Ellen, I hope you do find a job soon. Any chance of something with PSU like you did last summer?

Hmm today is the first day of spring, well it is sunny but only 32 out here. Looking forward to when I can take the little ones outside again without taking 20 minutes to getting them all bundled up. Of course then its 15 minutes of greasy hands while I lather on the

They said spread them out in the morning and by the time he got home in the evening they were done.

I'd think maybe this would be more of a summer project where you could put them outside and put one of those screen saver things over it like you use for picnics? I haven't tried this but their whole point is with coffee getting more and more expensive it's a good alternative.

I know I'm motivated to walk more in this nicer weather!!

Interesting about reusing coffee grounds but not tea bags. I only make a partial pot in the morning and another partial one in the afternoon, so I dump about 1/2 as much coffee as I usually use on top of the morning's grounds. Seems to work just fine. Then at the end of the day I just pitch that and start over.

We don't do coffee much at my house, Rachel drinks it occasionally and if I have company I get out the coffee maker.

In the fridge at work we found a fruit tray still in pretty good shape, we've been snacking on grapes and pineapple, way healthier than cookies!

They suggested doing it that way too... do you have something like a Mr. Coffee machine? I have a electric perclator and it didn't seem to work as well for me with that.
