Welcome Raewyng!
Songberries - I sure hope your DD does well tonight and is not in too much pain. But it will be well worth whatever once the baby is here.
LJsmom - will have to check our Aldi's out to see if they have them as they would be a nice bday or Easter present for moms. I love when we find a cart too. The kids love to find one and we have found two at Dealz, a store that sells $1.00 items here. They call them lazy people and love getting that quarter.

Frugal here lately is staying home with sick kids. Have been sharing colds and stomach flu. DH is taking ds1 to church alone today, as ds2 is complaining of a stomachache, and we just don't need him throwing up in church!
Mom24: You were right. I haven't been able to find winter boots anywhere. Even Walmart is cleaned out. Guess I waited too long this year.
LisLynn: Will be saying a prayer for your mom and you and your family. My dad was afflicted with that same problem.
Went to food club yesterday and did pretty well. Haven't been there in awhile. For $10 I got: 5 loaves of bread/bagels (the expensive kind), a case of small cartons 80 & sunny (YoJ type juice), a small pre-sliced ham, lettuce, cucumber, 3 blueberry mixes, box of organic crackers, case of kids' snack crackers; case of yoplait yogurt, 2 juicy juice bottles, sunflower seeds, bag of potatoes, 2 bags of organic "finger" potatoes, and some candy. Could have stuck around for another round of whatever was left of above, but ran out of time with a sick kid at home with dad, who wanted mom there! I always figure that the expensive wheat breads would cost more than the $10 I spend on the whole deal. Plus--it's kind of exciting seeing what you get for that $10--you just never know.
The sun is finally out here, and it's supposed to get up to 35. In my opinion, it should be about 50 right now! Plan to get outside somewhat today--maybe the fresh air will do the kids good.
We have Spring break this next week--hope the weather's decent!

Went walking yesterday at the local highschool
Then came home and lifted that heavy carpet by myself into the back of the car, half was in and half was roped and hanging out and took it to the landfill. They charged me $12.50 for the carpet, that's the minimum. I didn't even know they charged you to go to the dump. Anyway, it was gross. I had to get out into the landfill, I nearly threw up, and I had to dump my carpet off and then I had to throw away my shoes-
Today we were supposed to go walking but I'm exhausted and we'll just have to see, this is the last day of my vacation so we may just relax and enjoy. Tomorrow the grind begins again!

That was a typo or subconscously wishfill thinking on my part... the temps Friday were in the mid 60's not 70's. Sorry.
Not much frugal to report this weekend. Went back to the candle place bought 3 more cases of jars, more coloring blocks found scarlet and gray for Ohio State Candles. I only bought one new fragrance Watermelon and bought a bag of "official" smelly jelly granules. Haven't tried it yet but will tonight so I can have it on my desk. That was another of their little rules- I'm not allowed to have my candle warming plate on my desk, Bah Humbug!~ The people in production are allowed but not the front office.
Just made homemade burritos in the microwave for lunch, had sugar free pudding for dessert (Walmarts pkg. kind) and getting ready to take a nap.
Oh the Boobah I bought my niece we tried today, it didn't work, so I called Goodwill and ask what their policy was for Target stuff... she said bring it in and exchange for one that did work. Dh went to Toys R Us to get Erica a pink big wheel they had on sale for $10.00 and saw the Boobah there, 19.99 he said the tapes were the same 14.99 to 19.99 each. I also found at the Goodwill pkgs. of hair ribbons and clips for 25 cents a pkg. childrens plastic watches for 35 cents, dh bought Erica's big brother 2 pkgs. of Big Wheels they were buy one get one free... so he got 2 pkgs. for $5.00.
Well I'm off to take a nap get up and clean on the house some more. We're having the furnace people back out tommorow to put the furnace sleeve in.
Take care and will talk again tommorow.

Just a few frugal things here today: I took my car to the car wash with a car wash gift certificate, so that was free. I will be going through the ads and coupons today to find some bargains (hopefully!) And I will be printing off a couple of online coupons sent to me for our local Hallmark store (I know their cards are expensive, but I just love them!)
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

I don't know if anyone here has caught the spring cleaning bug yet or not but this site has great tips on doing it :
http://www.cindysporch.net/pages/sprcln.shtml
Now if only the weather would feel more like spring again then maybe I would actually do some spring cleaning

I kinda started earlier
But I went through dd's room again and got rid of extra toys. She doesn't have that many toys but what she does have is bulky and her room is small and so it just looks cluttered with the extra toys. So, got that out. When the weather warms up and it stops dropping to cold at night, I am going to re-arrange her room so there is more space to walk in but because of the baseboard heating we had to arrange it so that her bed wasn't up against that heater because its an open heater and her bedding would catch on fire. I hate those heaters-UGH!
But, I can't wait for the yard sale season to began!!!

Good morning all!!
I have heard about coupon mountain and one other one, but I have never used them. Usually when I find one of those bargains online, the poster is sending the coupon code too. I know it is lazy, but I really haven's had to go looking for coupons.
Frugal will be taking my lunch today, along with my fresh brewed iced tea.
Unfrugal is taking the cat to the vet to be neutered. He is having a horrible reaction to not being fed on time this morning. There is just no distracting his stomach.
Well ladies, better go for now.
Take care all!! Norma
