After school I took the girls and we all had our hair trimmed I used 2 $2 coupons. Since it was DD2's very first hair cut at age 3 they saved some hair and put it in a card with her name, age and date.

We then stopped at Goodwill where we found a jersey shirt for DD1 so she can go "out of uniform" for opening baseball season, and for a $1 donation to the student council she can wear jeans as well. I told her if we didn't find a jersey at Goodwill she just wouldn't get one because I wasn't paying a lot of money for a shirt she wouldn't wear much, it ended up being a 50% off color so it only cost $1 and is big enough that she can wear it for a swim suit cover up this summer.

I found a new dress up dress for $5 while we were there and wore it to our dinner tonight.

Lislynn - thinking of you and your mom and sayin prayers for you.

Barbszy - way to go on the jeans! I found kids slim ones last year for $1.50 (not as good as your deal) and bought several. Dressed them up by painting designs on them so they would look different. Slims are so hard to find at times.

RobertD - isn't it nice finding what you need at a great price. DD has been asking to stop at Goodwill. Maybe next week.

It's 1:29am and my dd is having contractions 4 minutes apart! Yippee! We're having a baby!

We are heading in fall here on this side of the world (New Zealand) and at the moment i have a big pot of stock cooking. I save all my chicken bones and go through my fridge every Friday and sort out what veges can be saved and used in stock etc. I do this all the time all year round. lMy stock gets used for soups or in cooking.

Welcome Raewyng!

Not much frugal this weekend so far. One of my dearest friends had a baby girl Friday at 2:45 am, so I spent way too much on a baby gift! I did manage to wrap the gift in paper I already had and reuse a gift bag, but all in all, I spent too much. Oh well, sometimes it's worth it, and I think this was one of those times!

I stayed home today doing laundry, dishes made boxed pizza for dinner then we went to church for family movie night.

Hello again!

My poor dd! This morning was our second trip to the hospital and still no baby. They gave her demerol and told her to get some sleep. They said she should start having more contractions that will be harder and we should have a baby in the wee hours of Sunday morning. She's a real trooper, with back labor too! I'll let ya all know her progress.

I no longer buy milk at Kmart or Walgreens for the same reason ICK, it always smells like wet cardboard and tastes even worse!

Leasmom, we cook the cabbage in butter or bacon grease too. Add some bacon cut up and its extra yummy.

Went to Aldi and some newbie left the cart in the parking lot. I grabbed it quick so no one else could. Free quarter for me! They had Easter lillies and tulips in big pots for $3.69. I'm going back for more next week-they were huge!
