Txchef Fran, What a darling, precious little girl!
Great job on your sales, Barbszy.
Leasmom, Wow, a 100 pounds! That is quite an accomplishment. Hope you are feeling better.
Anna, I think I have seen that type of syrup in sugar-free. Oh, maybe not the caramel flavor, though. I think it might have been Meijers, in the coffee section. I'll have to look when I'm out tomorrow. Strawberries are pretty easy. They seem to grow like mint-everywhere. lol
Frugal today was making more pizza pockets. They came out much better this time-much lighter. I have no idea what I did differently, but I hope I can do it again. Well, take care and I'll talk to you later!

I had checked at Meijers but couldn't find any in Caramel flavor regular or sugar free. If you see it let me know where exactly and I'll recheck again.

Your daughter's picture is gorgeous! What a pretty outfit and scenery. Looks like alot of hair to me.

Not much frugal today... made up some candle orders tonight, Love Spell and Butt Naked scent, lol!

New potential customers have moved in to the store building I've been looking at- a beauty salon . I haven't seen the owners yet looks like they just got set up this past week? Will definitely be keeping a eye out to see what kind of people they are. The carry out as I mentioned before is run by foreigners from the middle east somewhere. We have alot of them in our area, nothing wrong with that except they don't communicate in english very well.

Well I'm off to get ready for bed, will catch you all again in the morning. Dh's overtime has come to a halt for a minute, it's not dependable. Dh's perturbed by it since we filled up both vehicles thinking we'd be driving seperately all week instead of using one car but I told him, we just won't have to fill them up next week.

Oh well and life does go on despite the small stuff.

Syrup

Method:
Combine 1 cup sugar, 1 cup light corn syrup, and 1 cup cream in heavy sauce pan. Stirring frequently bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and boil gently 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Syrup will thicken as it cools. When cool and thick, stir in up to 1/4 cup milk, one tablespoon at a time, to thin to desired consistency. Serve warm. Store unused syrup in refrigerator.

Also check out www.coffegeek.com lots of copycat recipes there. I wish I could run out for a cup right now!

Had been wanting a new microwave cart and had been looking at some white ones previously. Due to being expensive did not get but found one yesterday on Cheapcycle, so went and picked it up for $35.00. Used my birthday money for it.

Did a taste test and made $8.00 plus had a free lunch (chicken and green beans).

jjoj, I do believe someone told me there is a GFS on Hurstbourne Lane around the Lowes. I have not checked it out yet but plan on it.

I strongly encourage you to check out GFS... such cheap prices for bulk items. The only really expensive things are their pies and cakes we never buy those although they look and taste sinful (they give free samples on the weekends).

With our "trying" to live a healthier lifestyle, we buy their 2 lb. bags of frozen veggies all the time there. They are at least 50-75 % cheaper than the grocery stores and a big variety.

Same goes with fresh produce.

Well off to get ready for work..talk again soon.

Good morning all!!

I think I forgot to tell you all what I got at Advance Auto Parts. I got a spray bottle of bucket-free car wash, and a spray bottle of wheel wash - free - after I get the rebate. In reality it cost $.60 in tax. They also had rebates on oil, and batteries, but not enought for me to invest in them. The guy in the store was very helpful. He told me they change the free after rebate (FAR) items monthly. They keep a display of the items with rebates right in the front of the store. And the items are well-marked FREE on the shelves telling customers to get the rebate forms. The cash registers also spit out a duplicate receipt for each rebate item, as well as an overall receipt. This adds to my list of stores I can use my "roll-over" money at.

I will let my nephew use the sprays on my car. In the future, I will collect these free items to be donated to my friends silent auction she throws every year for the local animal welfare association. Whatever odd items I give her like that, she will include in a basket somehow.

Keep your eyes open, there are good deals and free items out there everywhere.

I took my aunt cookies we both love the other day. And I came home with a loaf of Irish bread, a recipe from her mother, and some iron tablets that her doctor says she no longer needs. Since I am still on them, I was grateful for that donation.

Well ladies, better go. I find that the number of bills in my little cubby where I keep them 'til I pay them, has grown. I better get out the ol' checkbook and get to it.

Take care all!! Norma

I finally got to Walgreens last night and bought my buy one, get one free deodorant plus my 75 cents off coupon. Also picked up a 12 pack of Diet Coke for $2.50. The cheapest it gets around here is $2 per 12 pack / $4 per case. But I couldn't wait anymore! I've been out for a week and a half waiting for the right sale, but this was the 2nd best sale price that comes around, so I didn't do too bad. If I would have had extra cash on me, I would also have bought the foundation and hairspray they had that would be free after rebate. If I'm out that way again soon, I may still pick them up. Also picked up my vitamins at a local store for 1/3 of their normal price, so that was pretty good too.
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning everyone!

I'm flying up to my daughters in Seattle this morning! I decided I wanted to be there for the birth, so my parents bought me a ticket. I'm sooo excited!

Patrice - congratulations on the 100 pounds! Wow, you go girl! Great picture too!

Jjoj - one blouse is a light blue floral print. It has an empire waist with little ties and a crochet trim. The other blouse is a red paisley wrap around style. The skirt is a motled blue print, trumpet style skirt. I got them all finished and they turned out great. I'm saving the skirt for Easter. I have a nice white twin set I'll wear with it.

My parents are taking the kids while I'm gone, and my dh will leave Friday night and drive up. I'll let you know the details on the birth.

TTFN!
Carol
