Dh is turning frugal, has been asking me to buy raisin bread for toast, I pretend not to hear as only buy when it is on sale or have a very good coupon. Well I guess he got tired of that and decided to make his own in the bread machine, it was tasty and cheaper than a loaf at the grocery for sure! Now that was a success he is right at this moment trying a loaf of white bread!
Barb,
Will tell dh about the browser link never heard of it before.
JJ,
Yes its cold and snowing here today again. When is spring again lol! Using the crockpot today as I have lots of little ones again 7 till noon than 1 leaves! Wednesday is the only day that happens thank goodness!
Lislyn,
For me the key to losing weight is excercise down over 35lbs! Your dd is a good girl! Congrads on the second job I hope it helps you out.
Joesbaby the only thing I designate days for is the bathroom, I spot clean everyday but on Saturday it gets a good scrubbin! Everything else I feel I pretty much do everyday with all the kids running around its one mess after another!
Lorimae,
That would be an expierence seening the volcano! My brother was in the military at Ft. Lewis he loved living out that way for all its beauty! If it were not for the fact that he got divorced and wanted to be closer to his son I am sure he would of stayed there!
Anna,
Sorry to hear you are more restriced on the net. I wonder if that is an excuse so that employees are not just goofing off. I know you do work , but I bet theres a few who dont! Of course I am taking this from my friend thats a manager in her office and thats what they had to do! Everyone was mad at her for quite awhile but she said they did become more productive! Well off to start cleanup and have my own lunch as the kids are just about done with theirs!

Planning household chores has never worked out for me.
I do dishes & vacuum just about every day, have 2 dogs that like to wrestle so I have a lot of hair on the carpet. I do a couple loads of laundry on Tue/Wed and then again on Fri/Sat which day depends on what all else I have to do. I clean the bathroom when the girls are having their bath. Have to be in there anyway might as well clean while they play. I clean the tub & shower stall before I shower figure it is a free water rinse that way. Since I work around the girls school schedules Friday morning has developed into the day to go to the grocery.

When I had my pap smear two weeks ago the doctor informed me that I was 10 lbs heavier than I was the year earlier. I haven't gone up in sizes but I know the waistband is a light tighter. I read a weightloss tip the other week which I'm attempting to do which was to drink 8 glasses of water for a healthy life then for every 25 lbs you want to lose you need to drink another glass of water every day. So I'm keeping a 2 liter bottle of water in the refrigerator so I drink at least that much each day and just refill it before going to bed. When that gets to be not a chore I'll go for drinking two of them a day.

Lee & Barbzy

I work for a large electrical manufacturing company (not alot of employees but big production). Anyways, we advertise all over the world and of course everyone has our web address and links to the sales staff. There is just no way to tell if something is legit or not as alot of companies send us attachments with the schematics(sp?). I have heard of one person who looks at porn on the web every morning before the office staff arrives and that could be a big issue of this deal. We are allowed to use them on breaks and lunch so not as bad as it sounds.

Not much new to report. RobertaD I too know that drinking alot of water helps loose weight it's just getting yourself trained to do it and of course all those extra bathroom trips, lol!

I have to agree about drinking lots of water. It lowers your blood pressure also. It does take time to build up to 8 glasses a day. I think it's much easier in the summer. Another thing is portion size. My weakness is usually potato chips. I really have to keep those out of the house! lol Take care, and have a good day, everyone.

I agree with Lee the exercise is the key to weight loss. I've fallen off the wagon for a while but now I'm back on again.

Boy do I feel better. It's been two days with no sugar and I have so much energy. I was laying in bed this morning at 4:30 thinking about I can't wait to exercise. Hold on there is this me talking, I used to hate exercise but now I love it. Just makes me feel good.

I'm low carbing it also.

wow sounds like everyones day is going good today. anna i undestand what your saying, when i was in college they locked us off internet for a while when the computers kept crashing.
i havent thought of putting the 2lt bottle of water in teh fridege to keep cold. i dont really need to loose weight, as im tall and thin, only 12 lbs heavier than in highschool, of course ive had 3 baies since then too.

not much frugal today...i paid the phone bill, the truck payment, and the house payment all on the credit card, sigh. but i had to pay them. they called from the lawyers and said we should have papers to sign next week and then send them back to get joes settlement. not alot, but there will be enough to pay off the 3 credit cards, $1000 there to keep back for emergencies, like now when joe couldtn work for a week, or things. im still hopeing for the job, but im almost feeling like im not ever going to get called back for it. i did manage to get the kids their easter things, and its all at moms to be hid till easter time.

well tonight, we are all goign to my folks for pizza and a icecream cake for britts birthday. she turned 7 on monday, and this is the first time mom got to see her. i got her a dairy queen cake, wish i could get a recipe for that..the 10" ones are almost 16.00. wow. and they like them alot.

not much else going on. hope everyone has a good day. ill check back later.

Hello everyone!

I am trying to figure a few things out... I am trying to figure out if I can take this Medical Billing Coding class for $165. It's a 10 week course and since this is nothing but a medical area, it would be a smart move but I am not sure of the pay scale in this area. When I hit goal on my job I can get paid anywhere from $13 on up to $25 an hour or more. I've never made more than $17 an hour, but its just for that one week and then you start over again at $8 unless you hit goal and then it goes up .50 cents per deal. So, like last week I'll be getting paid $15 an hour for that week, and so far I'll be getting paid $13.50 for this week. If I don't get goal-(which is 8 deals a week), I get paid $8 an hour. So, I want something that pays but I don't want to spend 2 years of classes to do it either, such as being a Medical Transcriptionist.

I want to make the best decision but without knowing how much people get paid in this area, it's a little hard and I've tried looking up salary calculators online too. But, the $165 is just for the class and I would have to buy the book too, I need to find out how much that is and I would have to pay about $30 to $50 a week for her to be watched at a drop off center. But, this could possibly be a way for me to stay in this area and to have a career.

Any advice???

Joesbaby, for the cleaning, I now follow Flylady! When I didn't work, I did follow a routine that my whole house got cleaned every week. It was Monday-bathroom, Tuesday-Bedrooms, Wednesday-Living room, Thursday-Kitchen, Friday was shopping day. And Saturday, was anything "left over". Every day is and has been wash dishes, and every day is laundry day!

Loriemae, I bet that was neat to watch Mt. St. Helens!!

Lisa, so glad to hear that your DD is so helpful and mature!! Sorry to hear about the car problems. That vacation day decision would be a hard one to make! Good going on the 2nd job!

Leighann, that is so cute that your DH is making bread! Next you will have a years supply of homemade bread!

Osi, sorry to hear that your net use has been limited at work. The porn person is probably the one getting the viruses! Luckily you still have net at home!!

Joesbaby, wow you bought a horse and than had to pay your bills with a credit card??

bluebird, if you come up with anything with the car insurance with teen drivers let me know! I have one that is getting ready to drive, and one coming up right behind her!!

Leasmom, couldn't you call a place that does your line of work, and ask them for a quote on salary for starting?

On hanging out wash, I was sooo tempted to hang some out on Monday. But, the yards are way to muddy. And I need a new wash line, it wouldn't have been very frugal to have my wash line fall in the mud, with clean clothes on it!

Not much frugal for me. I have been resisting ordering out, even though my work is very busy! DH migh actually get four days of work in this week! We have to get money together to put a new roof on our trailer, and than gut our bathroom and redo it. And DS's is going to paint is bedroom this summer(could be interesting). But, I guess planning all this now is frugal, as we will be doing it all our selves!

jjoj and mom2-4

Yeah, I'm not happy about limited access to the net... as the receptionist I'm locked totally to my desk in the lobby and most of the time my only job is to answer the phone, there are lots of days when I feel like the Maytag Repairman so the net has been a great way for me to visit with folks. I'm not allowed to have anyone visit me at my desk nor can I walk away from my desk. When we got our new phone system put in they have it set up to ring 4 times, then it goes into the automated system and if that happens customer's complain that our phones are down, grrr...! Makes it a little hard to answer 8 phones get people where they need to go, cut off the chatty ones and answer another call. If I have to go to the bathroom I have to call for a relief person.

They also took out Instant Messaging and some other stuff... I didn't use any of it but my purchase agent was complaining about the Instant Messaging, I guess from what the IT guy said virus's can come in through there.

What a pain but at least they didn't tell us we couldn't use the net period, just limit it to our break times.

Well I guess I better get ready for bed the founder of our company is coming back from vacation tommorow... he's been in Fla. for 6 weeks, I think he's something like 85 still works in the office 3 days a week.

And talk about frugal: the man's a millionaire but he's like the people in that book "The millionaire next door". He drives a Lincoln (forget what it is but along the lines of a Cadilac). They live in a ranch style house in a rich neighborhood but a small house, not great big. He doesn't flaunt his wealth at all and his wife darns his socks!
