Homemade salad dressing "flask"

I am not sure what these are really called.

But, DH wants to make his own salad dressing, and thinks he needs to use one of these.

They are the type that, I think Hidden Valley, had given out a few years ago, along with the salad dressing mix. The "flasks" are marked off fill to this line with vinegar, fill to this line with mix. They are glass. But, a plastic one would be fine.

Thank you.

I know what you are talking about but Im not sure where you could get a new one, unless maybe you would find one at a specialty kitchen store?

GoodWill and places like that, you might find one.

Does Tupperware sell one?

Oh, so that is what they are called!! A cruet. The only thing I could think of was a flask!!

Thanks. But, if DH thinks I am going to pay $16 for one he is crazy!!

I like ajrsmom's idea, I will start to look at Goodwill!

I had no idea that was the name of it either. We just call it a shaker in our house. I usually use a mason jar with a lid on it.

If you want, I'll keep my eyes out for one here too for you.

They still sell these, I think mainly in the summer. Look in the area of the store where they sell Salad Dressing Packets, they are usually around $3.00. I see them in the thrift stores all the time. We do as Ajrsmom does and use a mason jar.

I know I'm late in replying to this thread. But if you haven't found one, go to Walmart and look in the dressing aisle.
