Picked a couple of the larger papayas today to use in cooking. It weighed four pounds. This will continue growing until it gets cold.
Will freeze the ripe ones to have later on.

Roberta...That was only the top part of the tree plenty down below that are smaller that I pick for smoothies. Not bad for a tree that only cost $6.88 last June 2014.

Was surprised to see the first ripe papaya on my tree today to give to my friend visiting. Guess it wont be long for the rest. Was surprised it was a smaller one not one that was larger.

Papaya for cakes & pies

Still plenty of Papaya's on the tree. Been using a ripening bowl in the porch to use for making papaya pies & cakes. No sugar added was sweet enough without it. As sweet as they are they are low in calories.

The cooler and ripening bowl are working out ripening the papaya's. Started cutting the large green ones that are five pounds. The limbs are getting to heavy with the load. Don't want a windy day to do any damage. Otherwise still getting new ones at the bottom.
