I will have to buy plants. My greenhouse and I don't know each other well enough to see what I did wrong. My plants died in the greenhouse.

I love lemon cucumbers. A light touch of lemon to the cukes. The are bigger than a lemon and ooohh so good. I slice them with onion and tomato drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper.

I've never heard of lemon cucumbers. You can bet that I will be on the lookout for them. I think that I would love the taste of lemon in just about everything.

I'm doing container gardening this year instead of a big garden. I have tomatoes in 5 gal buckets and used epsom salt when I planted them and they are really taking off.

Connie, I think I'd really like those lemon cucumbers, too. I've never heard of them before.

SueAnne, I can't believe how far along your veggies are. I just planted mine today. We did a combination of plants and seeds. We bought tomatoes, cucumbers and 3 or 4 different kinds of peppers. I planted seeds for chives, rosemary, basil, dill, corn, spaghetti squash, eggplant, pumpkins, cantaloupe, green beans, lettuce and brussel sprouts. I also planted some sunflowers, mostly because I just love them, but also to harvest the seeds. I love to snack on them and put them in salads.

We have a HUGE garden this year since DH's employer supplies the plot and water. It was fun today talking with the other gardeners there and seeing what everyone else is planting. I think there's 36 plots altogether.

I'll still plant a few contairs here with herbs, tomatoes and cucumbers. I love the idea of having them right here for the picking.

So far these vines have held up under winds, rain & heat. Have not had any problems with birds or animals either. Do throw morning coffee grinds to deter ants since they don't like the smell. Cut the largest one yesterday for dinner was very good.

Getting ready to start my vegetable garden with spaghetti squashes. Looking back should be picking them by May if I start now.

Sueanne, Thank you for the coffee grounds tip on being an ant deterrent
We will be starting some seeds indoors in a few weeks
Our frost free date is late in May
But we can put some early starts in under cover a few weeks before that
