Burlap and Doily Luminaries

    Ok one more I was really happy with how these turned out. They are so romantic they would be great for Valentine's Day or a wedding! Easy to make too, you don't have to be overly crafty!

    Wow...I was so impressed with this idea and as crafty as I am...don't know why I didn't think of something like this b/c I bought a "box" of unknowns at an auction a long time ago...and it had various sized doilies in a shoe box...many many doilies and some in white and others in Ecru....I was so tickled and have used some for various things but still have many didn't want to part with them so now this has given me another chance to use them but my question is....what type glue did you use? And with the heat of the candle....did it affect the glue? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.....

    I used Elmer's spray adhesive. I actually sprayed the jars, but in hindsight it would be better to lay the doily on wax paper, spray the doily, then lay the jar onto it and press. Then lift the jar and press the doily in place.

    I used tea lights, so there isn't a lot of heat generated from those, so it was not a factor.

    Glad I could inspire you to make some!
