Plus you can zero in on things that 1 person likes. We find it fun, except when someone gets dh. He never wants anything, is diabetic, just a pain to buy little things for

ha ha! I have a dh like that!
We usually do a nice dinner, I usually get a stuffed chicken breast, they come in four packs, and then we make a nice dinner out of it.
The dds would get a little 4 piece chocolate heart box, those kind you see at the checkout registers.
DH used to get me roses but they are so expensive and didn't last as long as we wanted.
This year I am glad FC bumped all the Valentine's posts up because otherwise I would have been caught at the last minute.
Never mind that the stores had Valentine's Day stuff out at Thanksgiving time!
This year I hope his last Christmas present comes in, some fleecy slipper shoes. And maybe I can finish some knitting for him and mending on his jeans. Pretty much we just try to make the day a bit more pleasant for each other.
Cards are part of it, he buys ones with the loveliest verses inside. And I usually get him something humorous and then tuck in a sheet of paper with all the reasons he is my Valentine.
The girls I will mail them something this year. I liked the idea of doing something with red in it, was that Sammi?

My Dh would always buy me a card and a plant that I liked. Remember when my mom was alive he gave her a card and a cup with hearts filled with Hershey kisses, with the saying " To My Love". We laughed since it had a red bow and he didn't
see the words on it. Still have the beautiful large red cup.

We SAY Happy Valentine's Day - and that's about it.
It's a greeting card heyday, so don't celebrate any more. We used too when much younger.

Everyday should be a day of letting someone know how much you love them, not just one, in my opinion.
