Yes, I am ttc w/PCOS. I am new here...actually this is my first post, as someone sent me a link to your post because they knew I'd be interested in chatting with you. My name is Rachel and I have a 6 year old son and have been ttc for 4 years--off and on because it's tiresome. I have some recent health changes for the better though and hope that maybe soon I will have baby news.

Hi Rachel !!!

I would love to have someone to talk to about this !!

I have a 4yrs. old son and have been TTC for 3 yrs--soon to be 4yrs. I agree, sometimes this gets to be too much to handle...Im getting to that point again.

I was just diagnosed officially with PCOS but Ive know that Ive had it for a yr. now.

If you want to talk more about it, email me or P.M. me on here .

Hope to talk to you soon !!

Hi

You are right about TTC

PCOS stands for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Many women have it but dont even know it. If you want more info about it , try doing a search on Google. Theres a lot of info. out there.

Hope Ive helped a little bit !

PCOS

Oh My Gosh!
This is what I have!!!!!
AND have had for years and years!
WHY HASN'T THIS BEEN TESTED FOR???????

When I read the symptoms, of which I HAVE ALL, I'm a text book case! Why wouldn't it be this obvious to an OB/GYN?

With my first hubby, we tried for 9 years!!!!!!!
Remarried now and we have a daughter, 3 y/o now!
No trying at all - actually she was a SURPRISE!
We are so Grateful to God for blessing us with her.
Looking back, I was thin and fit then.
Since then, I'm overweight once again.
I found A LOT of good information on http://www.kathyland.com/pco.shtml
I'm going to really FOCUS on diet and vitamins for 5-6 months - then I'll decide what to do from there.

It is ONLY by the Grace of God that I stumbled upon this information! I was just looking thru my email newsletters and there was the post. I was curious and decided to take a look. Exicted, I called my SIL. {God working again here} She had JUST read an article about PCOS in a magazine. Good Housekeeping I think!

I have HOPE again!
Thank you and may God Bless You All!

Michelle--It's pretty overwhelming when you first find out, isn't it? Our ds was a surprise, too, and I wish I could have a couple of more surprises.

I don't know why more ob/gyns can't see this...hopefully more will learn what PCOS is and how to treat their patients. I had to be more proactive in my own care and it took me quite a few doctors before I found a good one. Good luck and keep in touch with what you are doing!

Oh, btw, thank you for the link. Although I think I know pretty much all there is to know about PCOS at this point, I'm always up for more information. The site looks like it's got a ton of great information! Thanks again!

I agree, its very overwhelming and very frustrating at the same time. I had doctors telling me that it was all in my head. While Ive known that Ive had this for about 1yr., I felt a little relief ( very little at this point) to actually hear a doctor say it . My gyno. told me to go to a specialist and I hunted an endocrinologist on my own. If you are TTC, I would make sure he/she is a reproductive endo. doc. I think I might have made this mistake by just going to a regular endo. doc. Its taken a lot onger than I ever expected to find out whats going on.

Im taking things into my own hands as well.....I started the low carb thing today..not following any specific diet, just watching all carbs. I guess for 1 day its not too bad, LOL !! Although I want something sweet !!( probably because I know that choc. ooey, gooey candy bars are off limits ) Im also looking into vitamins and going to start those exercises again.

Maybe all 3 of us could be support for each other ?? I can sure use it !!
